3 Secret Talents Empty 3 Secret Talents

Hi Ninjas,
Maybe I'm wrong but I think that 3 secret talents will disrupt the flow of the game.
There are three main issues with having three secret talents.

Restriction will lose its value in PvP. When a player gets restricted, they can't use jutsu but can use talent. Every secret talent has 2 active skills. Which means that extreme talents has 3 active slots on average + 6 secret talent slots, that is 9 talent slots. With restriction they only limit jutsus but it is pointless since we will have plenty to do on the talents even with restriction.

The passive effects will cancel each other. There will be 5 secret talents and we can choose 3 of them which is more than half. Every single player will have the top 3 talents that are in the arsenal. That makes the passive effects not worth it because everyone will have them the same and it won't really have any effect which feels less fun of having them. Not to mention that everyone will have the same skills.

The battles will take way longer. More jutsus, more passive effects = longer battles. There's nothing wrong really with longer battles but if we have three talents it will take WAY longer.

Possible solutions would be: Having only 2 secret talents, those are the main issues that back in ninja saga we had only 2 ST. Adding more than 10 secret talents with different prices so there will be at least variety and people won't choose only the 3 main. The secret talents to have only one active skill that way we can balance it even with having three etc.
But my point is that 3 secret talents are too much for the mechanics of the current game, it will take a long time before everything is done and balanced but until then it will be less fun playing it. Maybe I'm not the one who should be saying this and maybe it's wrong but that's what I think and based on the previous games like this.

I concur!

However, if 3 secret talent is part of the roadmap already. Then these steps may be made to make it less of a disaster for f2ps and basically everyone.

1. You will only be able to learn the passive of the 3rd secret talent, not the active skills due to reason #1 above.

2. Limit players to only be able to use 2 STs in offline and online PVP while the rest of the modes will let them use 3 STs. However, NPC difficulty may have to be adjusted to cater this change. The drawbacks however is that newbs and F2Ps may have a hard time catching up with the performance of the ones who have 3 STs if NPC difficulty is adjusted.

3. Add bonus stats every level up or increase stat points that a player may get per level up to cater the NPC difficulty adjustment.

Out of the three I mentioned, #1 is the most probable as #2 and #3 will have to require the devs to expend more time and effort changing something that is part of the game's foundation. Corrective and adaptive maintenance will have to be performed here and there.

For restriction I agree but it still reduce your combat power. For example to give internal injury for now can only cast by olympus blade and biju clow. For talent only 8ex can do. So if target get resteict by 5 turn its still give huge loss.

Secret talent skill also cost very huge token to upgrade its potential. For example:
Lava shild armor from secret talent cost 2500 token to get 30% damage reduction (lv 10) while earth shild 1 jutsu only cost 200 token with 40% damage reduction. The cp cost different also very huge (500 cp vs 50 cp) the CD also have much longer CD (20 turn vs 10 turn)

In conclusions, I agree we need more ST so many users will have different build and not choose same ST and for 3 ST too overpower, my opinion you can change it from certain passive into chance based passive.

Honestly I like the idea of 3 secret talent, it will make more unique than in original NS, I just hope it will be balance between secret talent. For example wood jutsu that dont have effect other than damaging. Other jutsu have side effect and we all know that effect its really important in this game.

We are aware of how 3 secret talents might become an issue when it comes to balance in power.

Don't worry, we'll test the waters ourselves and see if it would indeed reduce the quality of experience in the game.
